Tony aka antonmb's system

Time for some changes, just placed an order today for:

Rega RP10 with Aphelion cartridge to upgrade my analog front end, replacing my P9 and Sumiko Pearwood.

Shunyata Denali 6000T w/ 3 meter Alpha NR power cable to replace the PS8/Defender/Ztron Viper.

Next I'll be upgrading my Linn Klimax DSM to their latest Katalyst DAC technology. I heard this last year at Definitive in Seattle and was very impressed.

Will post some new system pictures when it's all in.

You'd be welcome of course. Maybe once my Katalyst upgrade is done we can arrange to trade visits.

The upgrade to my Linn Klimax DSM is complete. The new Katalyst DAC architecture sounds wonderful: improved imaging, more air around instruments, a more natural, “analog” sound.

Also complete are the addition of the Shunyata Denali 6000 tower, 3m Alpha NR power cable, Rega RP10 table, and Rega Aphelion cartridge. It’s a lot of changes at once, but I was able to stage them a few days apart to get some listening with each change. The table and cartridge have added a new level of detail, and although it sounds contradictory, smoothness to the upper midrange. It’s a hackneyed expression, but I’m hearing things I never heard before.

Next up: D’Agostino Momentum S250 stereo amp is on its way for home audition and should be here in a couple of weeks.

Last week I had an electrician in to add a dedicated 20 amp circuit in anticipation of the arrival of the D’Agostino Momentum. I now have two dedicated circuits, a 15 amp and 20 amp. The Momentum, unfortunately, has been delayed a couple of times, according to my dealer due to manufacturing backlog and delays in the supply of black metal for the black case. The order was placed at the beginning of September. The latest word is it should arrive at the dealer this week. He will set it up in the showroom to put it through its paces and run it in a bit before bringing it to my place.

Very cool additions soon to arrive, along with your commitment to power.

You will enjoy these!
