Power Cables test (ish)
Today I went to a good friend of mine's house. In younger years we were DJs and we've grown up more or less sharing the same taste and love for music. He has a personal production studio at his house where we usually hang out. Last week we were at a get together where we got talking about cables. Basically he was skeptical about the difference cables could make in a system. So today I went to his house with what people usually believe could least make a difference in their system, power cables. I showed up with my Wireworld Matrix II Powerstrip and three Wireworld 2m Auroras 5.2. We used it to power his KRK studio monitors, and the third for the Matrix power strip. We first listened to the system with the speaker being powered off with the standard power cords. Things sounded good. As we listened I started to feel a little afraid. What if we didn't hear any difference with my cables? We listened to a few tracks, and then placed my cables. All it took was a few A/B testing to confirm what we were listening, the Wireworlds clearly presented the music with a fuller picture, and better extension. My intentions in this writing is not to make a power cable review, so I'll keep it short; simply put, music just sounded better. Needless to say my friend is now looking into upgrading most of his cables. It's gonna be a fun ride :music:
