I especially like the ported barrel, and worked trigger. These are brand new, and very hard to find.

Have you fired it yet? Looks like it could have some ferocious kickback.

Ivan.......You will like the pistol a lot. I carry my 9mm Shield daily. Mine has the trigger upgrade and tritium BigDot sights installed. I have put about 300 rounds through mine at the range without a single hiccup. Easy to clean, too. It shoots well with controllable recoil and rapid target reacquisition. It's comfortable to carry inside the waistband in a Kydex holster with nearly zero print, even under a T-shirt. I like mine.

It's due in next week sometime. My experience with ported guns, especially Performance Center is they don't kick hard at all.

My 629 PC in .44 is fun to shoot.

Pete.......The 9mm Shield recoil is not bad at all. The S&W 40mm Shield is a bit more of a bear. I shot both and chose the 9mm. It is plenty powerful for personal defense, especially with HP ammo. I use Hornady Critical Defense 9mm hollow points. I am confident they will provide the necessary stopping power, although I pray I never need it.

I don't think a ported 9mm is going to have much recoil.
