Depending on what previous version it replaces; it fixes some issues and improves reliabilty.

Mac does not disclose any additional particulars.

Ivan.......Hmmm. I'm from the school, "If it's not broke, don't fix it." I've created a folder, and stored the files on my computer. I don't like secrets when It comes to my audio gear.

Now, if the new firmware was an update to create a visually attractive setup menu, that would be a major improvement. McIntosh should take a cue from the $499.00 Oppo BDP-83 if they need a template of perfection.

Ivan, thanks, I see it works with the MX-136 as well. YouDeMan!

You can install VM Ware Fusion or Parallels (about $80) and then run Windows (about $200) in a "virtual machine" on your Mac computer, or as an alternative buy a Windows "netbook" for less than $300 and use it. I have VM Ware Fusion on my main Mac Pro, and it works great, but this past summer I bought an HP netbook with a 10" diagonal screen to use for Windows-only programs like this one or the software used to update the database for traffic cameras in one of my radar detectors.
