Jerome W and 1KW meet up in Paris

There is something special about this online community. Last night my wife , my son and I were welcomed into Jerome's home . Cross continent last minute encounters with members meeting in person can not be too common . I feel I have known Jerome longer than Just last night since we have both been active members on this forum since it started. Jerome has a lovely wife and family, they could not have been more gracious hosts. We started with champagne and a tour of his 2 listening rooms. This was my first time hearing Shindu and his hand built speakers. The turntable which was built locally as well has a floating platter supported by opposing circular magnets. After listening to a few songs on vinyl it was off for a gourmet meal and wine at one of Jerome's favorite restaurants. The dinner and conversation made for a very memorable evening . Before we knew it time had flown by; it was nearly midnight and we were the last to leave the restaurant . I look forward to meeting up with Jerome and his wife again. It would be fun to have them over at my place. Next time dinner is on me :D Thanks again Jerome :music:

David.......What a wonderful meet and great in Paris. Although I have not had the pleasure to meet Narcisa and Jerome's children, I did have the pleasure of a visit from Jerome at my home in Florida. He is an intelligent, kind, and humble man with a good heart. Like your visit, mine went by way too fast. I am happy you and Jerome had the opportunity to meet and spend an evening together. I hope to visit Jerome in Paris one day, too.

This is Jerome during his visit to my home getting to meet Marlene's horse Gus.

David
Your post is a reminder of our evening with Jerome and Narcisa in Paris. As you note they are most gracious hosts and wonderful to spend time with. I wish we could have scheduled more time in Paris again this year but we only have a couple of hours layover on our return from Spain and Portugal this June.

Next year I think I need to set aside extra time in both Belgium and France for get togethers.

Jérôme and Narcissa are fantastic hosts.

I visited him last year, when he was testing a DIY Altec speaker (with the designer at his left side).

Hi Guys,
Well ! I ´m completely "red" now ! [emoji5]
Too many compliments !
It is always a great pleasure to meet great people from AA.
I have been blessed to meet IRL Dan, Jim and Linda, Bart, and now David and Lisa with their son.
We have lots of things in common.
I have been in contact with David since the very first days of AA, always feeling very close to him.
I admire him for keeping this hobby for what it is : a hobby. Without getting nuts about permanent "upgrades".
Enjoy the rest of your trip in Paris David. And come back anytime !
Next time see you in Pennsylvania with God's will !
Best wishes.

Jerome...If your trip to PA brings you anywhere around the Scranton area (50 mi from McIntosh & Audio Classics), please feel free to call on me. You'd be most welcome to visit.
