Buddy's (Audio 1) System

I am happy to be able to be able to share pictures of my new 2-channel dedicated listening room!
The last year has been very busy as we built a new house and fortunately there is a great space for my passion to reside. I honestly never thought I would have a room like this, or own equipment of this caliber.
After much hard work, planning and spending there is a real live system.

Thank you for viewing

Buddy.......Simply amazing. You have assembled a remarkable sound system in a very pleasant room. Fantastic!

2fastdriving 06-25-2016 09:50 PM

I'm on the iPad app...can't see any pictures. Am I the only one?

jfray 06-25-2016 09:51 PM

How do you view the pictures?

audiohippo 06-25-2016 10:02 PM

Wow, very nice system and room configuration. Congrats!

What is the little black box behind the GS150?

Guess I'm not the only one. I don't see any...never had a problem on the iPad app before.

They are viewable from my iPad.

salamander 06-25-2016 10:20 PM

I could not view the photos on my iPad either until I tapped on the text of Buddy's message. Doing that opened a secondary window that contained both his message and photos.

That worked for me...... Awesome room Buddy!

metaphacts 06-25-2016 10:28 PM

Fantastic room Buddy! Looks even better than I remember! :tresbon::tresbon::tresbon::tresbon::tresbon:

TommyC 06-25-2016 10:34 PM

This is a very nice looking (I'm sure sounding) room! How big is it?

It is a Synergistic Research Black Box.
A resonator that functions as a bass trap. Amazing little device!

Thank you Tommy.
I would need to pull up the plan, but the side of the room where the system resides is roughly 14' 5" x 21' with 9' 5" ceiling height.
The overall room is approx. 700 sq. ft.

hkval 06-25-2016 11:08 PM

The beauty of the room is only surpassed by the beauty of the music. It sounds simply amazing.

All the work and planning that Buddy has done is being rewarded 10 fold with how impressively this combination of audio products work together. WOW!!!

Thank you HK for the kind words! You are the best, and you did a lot to help me get this to the finish line!
It is sounding quite different than the last time you were over. Unfortunately I still have a ways to go to break-in the ARC gear.

salamander 06-25-2016 11:21 PM

It is indeed a beautifully executed setup. I am in awe of the incredible systems on this forum. The downside is that seeing what is possible does not bode well for my financial well being.

audioguy3107 06-25-2016 11:31 PM

Hey Buddy, that's a really cool room.....love the system of course but really like the style and decor.....looks really cool!

Fantastic Buddy! Well done! Next time I am in Naples, I'd love to take a listen if I am invited. :music:

Thank you! Yes one can spend a small fortune just imagining the possibilities

The room is on the second floor and it has a nice view over the lake via the west side window. Sunsets are quite nice.

Buck Thank you! .... So much planning and you hope the end result is what you anticipated.

The trick others used worked for me as well. I had to tap on the text of his post. Never saw that before.

Fantastic room! We have a lot in common! I'm gonna have to try a gs150 with my ref6 eventually. I tried it once with my ref5.

But your room is very well thought out and inviting. Looks like a great place to entertain!

Yes Marc we do have quite a few things in common!
Thank you for the kind comments on the room. It certainly is a great space to entertain. Not so easy to move gear into as it is upstairs :grumpy:

Congrats!
The black box is amazing!

Mikado463 06-26-2016 03:57 PM

Love your Wilson / ARC setup Buddy and the 'black pizza' spinners looking superb as well !

Still-One 06-26-2016 05:27 PM

Buddy
The room came out even better than what you described when we had dinner a few months ago. Now I can see why you were so excited to get it finished. Well done.

Thank you Jim! Very happy to be past the planning stage for sure.

Your system and room setup both look phenomenal, Buddy, and I bet it sounds even better in there than it looks! Congratulations to you in getting that all put together!

I like that you are using the SR black box, panels and dots. I've upgraded my fuses to the SR blacks in my MC501 amps and MW PS 9.9 and I'm very pleased with them. I already have a lot of treatments in my room, however those items have caught my eye and I'm thinking about how I could integrate them in.

Thank you very much!

I have the SR Black fuses in my Ref.6 pre and Ref.3 phono pre. The nice thing about the new SR panels and Dots is that they can be used in addition to traditional room treatments.

My latest edition is the awesome Silenzio V.3 from Audio By E.
The quality of the Silenzio and the service provided by Emile is simply as good as it gets!

So happy I made this move as I now have 6 TB of drive space to consolidate all of my digital files with back up protection and technical service beyond anything on the planet.

Yeah that does not suck.

I really dig the pseudo-90's vibe the room has but with much greater simplicity and function.

hkval 09-28-2016 09:53 PM

"Audio By E" has found its way into some incredible systems here on AA. Sitting in the perfect chair in Buddy's system is a remarkable experience. What his system is capable of has only been enhanced with the addition of Silenzio.
