Magnum Dynalab MD-309
Anybody here have an opportunity to hear this new integrated amp (or it's smaller brother the MD-209). It's a hybrid design with cryo-treated 6922/ECC88 tubes in the input/driver stage and a solid state output stage, rated at 225wpc into 8ohm (450 wpc into 4ohms). It has an onboard 24/192 DAC. Looks interesting. I believe Hifi+ just came out with a review but I have not seen it yet. The MD-209, built on similar design, is rated at 125/250 wpc into 8/4 ohms and has an onboard DAC and FM tuner. That unit has been reviewed at Positve Feedback and the Inner Ear. Here are the links:

cmalak.......Dynalab has manufactured some well respected tuners, so I imagine their integrated amps will prove to be very good. I wonder why Dynalab chose to omit the tuner in the top MD-309 integrated amplifier?

not sure why they did that Dan...if this thing sounds good, it may be a nice anchor for a secondary system (or even for anyone thinking of downsizing from separates). All you would need is a transport (PC/music server/CDP) and a set of speakers and you have a nice little sytem. I am going to see if my dealer can get a demo unit for me to listen to. :scratch2:

Cyril.......I would hope the lighting on the front panel is dimmable, and switchable. That bright blue logo might get to you after a while. It looks like that is a touch screen on the MD-309. If you get a chance to audition one of the Dynalab integrateds, let us know.

Dan...if i can arrange it, I will let folks know what my impressions are.
