There is HDMI and toslink out. However the toslink is more of the failsafe; I would personally get a USB to spdif like the bryston buc1 if you don't have USB. That would be the way to connect your 500/550.

There is no internal mass storage. That should never be in the server as it closes the environment. All data goes on a network attached storage device which grants redundancy and feeding multiple devices from a single source.

I hope you all have had a great start to the New Year! May good health, good fortune, and happy listening be in your future. 🔉🔊🎵🎶🎵

I saw this post get updated recently and wanted to pass along my sincere thanks to E- for helping me get my system working so beautifully. Using his Silenzio as my source/server has opened up new worlds of music for me. I've been able to back up my SACD collection, rip hundreds and hundreds of CD's, and down load new Hi-Rez releases of old favorites. I now can play play all of my music at a touch of a finger to any of my iOS devices. It's wonderful! And the sound is spectacular! All silent, or I should say, all Silenzio!

Now that I know I love this so much, there will be a new DAC in my future. The Teac was a great start, but a BDA-3, or a Meitner may be what the doctor ordered.

Thank you E-
