So the modules are truly upgradeable after all. Very cool to see this.

Very cool indeed!

Customer Service must have gotten tired of me calling weekly.

Must be installed by a certified dealer/repair shop.

Terrific.......... the only drawback I can see (other than must be installed by a 'certified tech' of some sort) is their statement that it cannot be ordered as part of a new piece of gear. Guess they don't want to be stuck with the DA1 modules all ready on the shelf.

Puma Cat 11-18-2019 09:40 PM

What's the upgrade cost?

From their email....

“Ordering

The DA2 Upgrade Kit has an MSRP of $1,000 with shipping expected to begin in November 2019. Contact your local Authorized McIntosh Dealer or Authorized McIntosh Service Agency today to schedule your upgrade.”

I assume installation is an additional cost.
