I'm not familiar with De Ponte. I've had a couple of really good Pinots with great earthiness from Cristom...can't recall the exact vintage, but I'm pretty sure it was their Reserve Pinot from 7-9 years ago. Have you had them to compare?

If that's the same "E's Millionaire Margarita" that you posted the recipe for a while back, you had an awesome drink or two last night - those are fantastic!

I have had Cristom's Pinot Noir before, but like you it has been several years ago and I can't remember well enough to say how they compare. Thanks for the reminder on that one though as I will have to remember to check it out again next time I am back over in the Willamette Valley.

I moved from the Portland area about 4 1/2 years ago and have taken a long break from Pinot Noir as that was all I was drinking for a while over there. I'm getting back into them again here lately and enjoying it! My other current favorite Oregon wineries are Archery Summit, Domaine Serene, King Estate, Maysara, and Dobbes Family Estate.

The one and only... Which I've taught the barkeeps at Diego/MGM Grand how to make, as well. That's where our little CES Meet & Greet will be held! :p

Thanks for the recs, I'll have to track one down. Of the ones you've mentioned, I see that PA carries Archery Summit, D. Serene, King Estate, and Dobbes Family, although most of the product is SLO (special liquor order), so it's not in the stores.
