Reference System make-over

I'll begin by saying I have had my Esoteric source components a bit hidden for too long.

They were in the room behind my Burmester/Aida rig, controlled via remote; primarily because they didn't match the aesthetics of the Burmester gear.

After many months of brain storming, I finally put my plan in action. Here are the pics that explain what I did.

First I needed a second rack system to separate this gear from my primary rig. This also meant that I would need new cables; in fact WW Platinum Eclipse XLR 6.0M's in length. These would also needed to be hidden.

This product is terrific for hiding cables that will run around the baseboard.

Some prelim layout with the Platinum Eclipse inside.

The top of the cable track snaps open/close for easy cable insertion.

Next up, was an outlet change; out with the builder grade garbage, in with the Furutech GTX-D Rhodium combo kit.

This is the Burmester gear end.

This product is great, it provides easy access for your cables; and a peel and stick adhesive back that makes it just about permanent.

The finished hidden cable run.

Time to load the shelves with gear.

The gear sits on Nimbus couplers, and damping plates are used on top; even on the P10.

Here is a side view of the new rack system. Cable dressing was tedious, as I have 3 WW Platinum Electra PC's 2.0M each. That's 6.0M of power cables to hide. ;)

In addition, there are the XLR line outs, and the digital coax between the player/clock.
