Hello Folks,

Here are my new speakers.
Inspired by the Shindo Latour.
Woofers : 416-8B
Compressions : TAD 2001.
Horns : P Audio.
To me they sound like a more refined Altec 19, with deeper and fuller bass, and sweeter and more extended treble.
Their image is huge and extremely focused.
Big "American" sound with lots of weight and texture, but still very refined.
During the last years I became an "Altec addict."

Jerome, Congratulations on your new speaker system. I also love the sound of Altecs. I see you also have the C22 another favorite of mine. Enjoy.

Hello,
Thank you !
Actually same faceplate for C22, MA230 and MA5100. That's a 5100 integrated.

Thanks Mikado !

They have very nice black grilles, making a face completely flat but because of my 2 cats I removed them. Cats love grilles.

WOW those are great looking speakers, I am sure they have plenty of bass. Congratulations and post your impressions

Jerome W 10-30-2018 02:31 PM

Tom, David...
Thanks a lot.
David: yes they actually give lots of bass. But most of all what is stunning with Altec drivers is the clarity and speed of the bass.

Hi Jérôme, nice looking speakers, congrats!
Was it the same man who produced your old speakers?

Jerome W 10-30-2018 04:32 PM

Thanks Bart,
Absolutely ! Built by Gilles.
And my former speakers went to Belgium. You know their new owner.
Stefan.

Ha, they remained in the AA family!

I do like the aesthetics for your current speakers more.
Enjoy them!
