George.......No ventilation issues whatsoever. The MC2301's are open to air on all sides.

George.......Absolutely. Air needs to pass through the chassis on its way up the vent areas around the KT88 tubes. Each of my two MC2301's are sitting on four Stillpoints Ultra SS vibration footers. The Ultra SS is actually slightly taller than the McIntosh stock factory footers, so the amps have even more space under them. Under no circumstances would I ever interrupt airflow through the bottom of the chassis on any amplifier.
