WW Silver Eclipse 7
I think I made a big mistake! Well sort of a mistake, I only had a 2 meter pair, because I reorganized my components I need a 2.5 meter pair. I sold my Wireworld Silver Eclipse 7 speaker cables with the thought of replacing them with Shunyata Alpha speaker cables. I had a home audition of the Alpha's and preferred the WW Silver Eclipse in every way. Is there anything I should listen to at or below $5K for an 8 foot pair? If not, I'll purchase a 2.5 meter pair of WW Silver Eclipse 7.

That sucks. Am sure Ivan will help you out with a new 2.5m pair of Silver 7s, just as he has helped so many of us with new WW cables (and other gear).

Thanks Ivan, I'll let you know.
I have a pair of Audience Au24 SX speaker cables on loan. Very, very good. They are very similar to Wireworld Silver Eclipse 7 speaker cables, with the Wireworld being a tad bright in comparison. |
FWIW I also found my WW Silver SC's a tad bright to start with but they did settle down after quite a few hrs on them - I find them fantastic now!

I didn't make a mistake. I purchased Clarus Crimson speaker cables and they have taken my system to the next level. Beyond satisfied!

Thanks to Steve (aka Maks) I've now got a pair of NOS Silver 7 bi-wire speaker cables in my system. From new, they've removed a slight layer of grunge, being noticeably clearer. I was expecting a bit of extension on the top from the silver, but am pleasantly surprised at the bit more depth they've added, as well. Can only get better, but from new they've been a nice step-up from the pairs of Mini Eclipse 7 I was running in a bi-wire configuration.
Thank you, Steve. |
