Headphone test and tuning

I have developed a few Roon EQ profiles for some of my headphones that I thought would benefit. Whenever I am enjoying a set and listening to Roon, it is very easy to call up the profile and get that more balanced response from any set of headphones and dial them in to your taste.

Before working on EQ profiles, test your headphones for any issues such as noticeable driver imbalance.

After that a frequency sweep really helps to isolate peaks and dips. Start with peaks, take notes as to what frequency range needs a few dB adjustment or a notch filter in worst case, then go into Roon and develop an EQ profile for your cans. Test with a well known to you track of favorite music and see if it helps.

This is a good frequency sweep test with actual Hz readout. https://youtu.be/qNf9nzvnd1k
