Analysis Plus Silver Apex

Like most of us, I have a few sets of cables that I like, and they seem to work with a variety of systems, but I always end up preferring a certain one with specific equipment combos.

This morning I decided to break out my pairs of Analysis Plus Silver Apex interconnects. What I found with them is that my H2O Audio 250 Signature amp did not match up well with them, the mids were just a bit too thick sounding.

However, I brought out a First Watt F7 and slipped it in place. I left it powered up all morning and afternoon, and then sat down to listen in the evening. This amp partners up nicely with the Silver Apex in the system. Very even tonal balance, nice dynamic expression, and huge presentation of space.

This is a fine interconnect, AP does a great job with their products. Perhaps one day I will acquire the matching speaker wire in the Silver Apex line. The construction parameters on these are pretty involved, they do some pretty extensive engineering with them. Certainly not a product made from off the spool wire with expensive ends soldered onto it and hidden in a tech flex sheath.

Cheers
Mister Pig

:GrpWelcome:

It's good to have you over here MR. Pig. AK's loss is AA's gain! Look forward to your cogent contributions.:thumbsup:

Good to see you over here Mr. Pig :-) . Didn't realize that you had left AK, but I hope the reasons were positive.

Always been curious to try the AP stuff. I know that they use "real" engineering - so I'd imagine that they are the real deal. What do those bad boys cost - btw?

I previously use Analysis Plus products and have a lot of respect for their line.

I too have used AP cables in my system and found them very good. I am still using their power conditioner.
