E-270 Questions

Accuphase once had a great website where they provided excellent info on their products. Not so today. For instance, what are the dimensions of the new (per their website) E-270 integrated amp? No info on same under the "technical information" pdf download from the website. Also, will the card-slot on the E-270 support the phono card or only the unwanted DAC card, as their information suggests? Thanks for any help.

The PDF on the model website should have that information. I down loaded this a few days ago and had all the dimensions.

On the card:

Rear panel expansion slot allows for use of one of the available AD-30 or DAC-40 option boards.

Option Boards:
DAC-40 (DA converter) – 1200 euro
AD-30 (phono stage) – 1000 euro
LINE-10 (extra analog inputs) – 280 euro

Dimensions - found this:

Maximum Dimensions: Width 465 mm x Height 151 mm x Depth 420 mm (18.3 W x 5.94 H x 16.53 D)
•Mass: 20.0 kg net, 26.0 kg in shipping carton (44.09 pounds net, 57.32 pounds in carton)

I left the Euro prices for the board options in the cut n' paste -- just as a FYI -- (Guess that answers your ??).

Best Sir,

Bob

Just looked thru again (http://www.accuphase.com/model/e-270.html for the 3rd time in two days) and nothing about dimensions as was on the previous iteration of the website.

Bob - thanks for the info. Is that from the European website? The E-270 is about half the physical size of my current integrated amp so am thinking it might be a "good fit" for downsizing.

Unfortunately, the E-270 appears to no longer support the use of the phono-card like its predecessor E-260 did. As Accuphase was touting the "introductory" price of the E-270, perhaps dropping this configuration is one way they made their price-point. Too bad, as I prefer the size & look of the E-270 to the larger models and its 90wpc is fine for my needs.

Glenn -- PM me your email as I have a 6meg pdf on the E270.

The E-270 provides one slot for an option board on the rear panel.
● Option boards can be used to realize direct connection of digital signals for high-quality music playback, or to enjoy high-quality playback of analog records.
● The Analog Disc Input Boards AD-9/AD-10/AD-20 can also be used. In this case, the MC/MM button on the front panel of the E-270 has no effect. MC/MM switching must be performed on the board.

Analog Disc Input Board AD-30:
Features a high-performance, high-gain phono equalizer for playback of analog records with outstanding sound quality.

● MM/MC switching can be performed on the front panel of the E-270.
● On-board switches for input impedance switching and subsonic filter
MC: Gain 66 dB, Impedance 30/100/300 ohms
MM: Gain 40 dB, Impedance 47 kilohms

Best Sir,

Bob

Sorry for the mix up in the earlier writing of this post #7 -- coffee short and was getting E270 confused with E470. I've changed this post a couple times. It's now correct from E-270 pdf data.

E-270 Questions

There is a pdf link on that model page... english and german. I ordered one from Ivan and will post some images that could be useful once it arrives.

There are three .pdf links, two marked English. Was opening the wrong one.

Thanks to all.

That's why I subscribed to AA -- learn something new everyday -- wasn't aware of two English's. I'm still learning the first one & don't have time to learn a second.:D

Best Sirs,

Bob

Glad to have helped Glenn.
