Mcintosh c2200 display backlight color

Hello friends. They brought me my new Mcintosh c2200 preamplifier, it sounds great, but there was a question about the display illumination. Please tell me, it's normal that the backlight color of the arrows of the Mcintosh 501 monoblocks is bluer than the backlight of the arrows of the Mcintosh c2200 preamplifier. On the preamplifier, the color is less blue ... In the photo it is not so striking. Sorry for my bad english. Thanks for the help.

The C2200 did not have LED lights but rather incandescent which is likely the reason for the difference in color.

Thank you, are there really 501 led lamps in monoblocks? Is there also a kind of ordinary incandescent lamp?

The 501’s have an LED backlight, you can buy kits to retrofit your C2200 to LED.

Thank you) And where can you buy led for c2200? And is it hard to change?

Actually, I’m not sure if they still make the kits or not, you are going to have to do a google search.

I found these instructions on google:

Audio Classics no longer sells LED conversion kits.

The MC 501 uses a combination of green and blue LED’s to get the unique meter color. You may be able to get your C 2200 close by experimenting with different blue and green gels, (colored filters) used in theater lighting.

Even if you could change to LED’s you will get a different look but there is no guarantee it will be the same as your 501’s.

When I had my C2200 I had bought the LED kit from AudioClassics. A well made kit and did transform the lighting to closely match my MC252 amp.
