Hmmm... I was really looking at the DB2D, but now might look at the JL Fathom® f112v2-GLOSS, but I am wondering how well it will integrate with my 802D3.

B&W is not listening to the customer. This sub should blend well with their speakers, either balanced or unbalanced mode. It does not. As mentioned I have had to use the edit feature to change equalization and gain setting to get acceptable levels.

Ummm, not to in any way discount your experience, which has been inexcusable on B&W's part--but your experience is not representative of the way in which B&W subs typically blend seamlessly and effortlessly with B&W speakers. It takes just a couple of minutes with an iPhone app to automatically equalize for the speakers/room.

After reading this thread, I decided on JL Fathoms rather than the DB1D... especially comments from Miner.

Happy for you Joey. B&W is trying to work with me to figure this out but not at the pace I am expecting. They keep saying the Output 2 on my MA8900 is the problem. Figure-pointers instead of problem-solvers.

I have had original F113s and for my next sub in the family room i have gone for the DB2D. I have been really pleased by my D3 speakers so hoping to be impressed by this sub.

Visit scheduled for tomorrow from the district rep - he is aware of my issue and has heard it himself. Not much different from his last visit 6 months ago, except nothing has been done to improve the software/gain for RCA Stereo connection.
