FS: Berkeley Ref 2 MQA DAC
2 Attachment(s)
Selling my Berkeley Ref 2 MQA DAC. I’m the original owner and the DAC is in excellent condition.
It’s a great sounding DAC... I’m only selling it because I just put my new Berkeley Ref 3 into service. I just couldn’t wait for Berkeley to start doing upgrades to existing units. Price is $9000 plus shipping. It’s well worth the price for its level of performance and will very likely be upgradable to Ref 3 level starting sometime next year. |
I also have this Berkeley DAC and find it to be a fantastic DAC. At more than 50% off the list of $19,995, this is quiet a deal. Yes, it does Tidal MQA but also does everything else exceptionally well, Qobuz, Hires downloads, CD rips.

Thanks Paul!
How are you playing DSD files... Letting your N10 convert them on the fly or manually converting them to FLAC (or whatever flavor of PCM you prefer) and storing and playing the converted files? |
Howard, I only have a few DSD files which I let the N10 convert. When I purchase a hires download it is usually 24/192.
|
I used to let my N10 do the conversion... but Michael at Berkeley convinced me to try preconverting them using JRiver. Big improvement that way. Now that it's easy to rip SACDs I'm building a nice portfolio of DSD files. I suggest you try it!
