A-Rod suspended............
The verdict was handed down today. A-Rod has been suspended for the entire 2014 season. Of course he will appeal as he stands to lose $25 million in salary.

And the Yankees gain $25 million, they are very disappointed with the decision. ;)

Actually the previously announced suspension was reduced by the Arbitrator to 162 games from 211. Now he will probably take it to Federal Court. |

Thanks for that clarification. I for one hope he never plays another game in his life |
About time. I believe the playoffs also.

Read on another forum that he will probably not appeal, because he will have to be under oath, and he could lose alot more than money. Besides the Players Association will not be too happy about that also.

Finally. Let's get back to baseball.

I'm also glad to see that the other "Roid" boys (Clemens, Bonds, and the others) got less Hall of Fame votes this year than last year.

I'm happy with the changes so far, although they overpaid for Ellsbury. Hopefully, I will be proven wrong though. That said, they couldn't win it with Mantle, unless they get more pitching. I think they'll get Tanaka, because spoiled fans (like me) will be upset if they don't. Last year I sat in the nose bleed 4th deck in back of home plate. I went one level down, to get a drink. There was a bar with those bank line ropes set up, w/ a guy checking ID's. Short story: I was told (at 47 years young) that I could not get a drink in that bar. Reason: I was sitting in the fourth deck. I'm sorry, that's just ridiculous. Cheers -Don
