Six months - the wait is part of the journey

Finally my MC1502 is home where it belongs. The wait and impatience was worth the wait. We all know the supply chain issues created by the pandemic. Any consumable was touched by it. I knew in April when I ordered I was in for the wait and was never mislead by broken promises.

The amp is hugely huge. I still need to do some revisions to my HRS E1 platform (with guidance from Ivan) but I am able to at least begin the break-in process. My listening room is on second floor so this was not an easy task to complete. Unit was delivered by my dealer and I assisted with pack muling to the listening room. Here are a couple of early pics after initial installation. I will leave the Mc tubes in for a couple of hundred hours to become familiar with the factory sound. I already have my replacement tubes on hand.

I agree. The 1502 is possibly the most beautiful of all the Mac amps. It is MASSIVE MAC! What could possibly be better? Enjoy!

Best

Looks right at home! Even knowing the size of Mc gear for some reason in my head that amp was smaller. Enjoy!

Outstanding Kevin! Glad to see the 1502 finally arrived and is in place. I was personally shocked by the size of the amp when it finally emerged from its packaging.

Did the dealer take away the 275?

After you've spent some time with it I'd be interested to know your own observations of the amp, particularly as it compares to the amp it replaced.

Are the eventual replacement tubes GL's?

Looks great Kevin!
