Magnum Dynalab MD109t or McIntosh MR88
I know they are not the same price range, but I am looking to add a tuner to my system. Any thoughts on the MD109t from Magnum or the MAC MR88? Are they even comparable or is the Magnum simply better?
Thanks for any insights! Jacques |
I own a MD-105T and MR88, and like them both very much. Honestly, I do favor my Magnum Dynalab more.

I have the 107t and love it. Magnum Dynalab makes probably the best line of new tuners today.
Another alternative may be a restored vintage tuner but IMO the MD is the way to go. |
Thanks. I noticed the md109t looks the same inside as the md108t. Do you guys know if they are indeed the same? Is the 109 t worth the extra few k?
Thanks. Jacques |

Just call Larry at MD. You can deal direct with them. They are easy to work with and will explain the differences between each model.
Unless you listen to a LOT of radio the 109t may be overkill. |
Also, you can add the DAC or Silver Faceplate options.

Ok thanks guys. I will contact MD to decide which model is best suited for me!

Jacques.......I think the Magnum Dynalab MD 108T is a beauty. Were I considering a Magnum Dynalab tuner, the MD 108T would be it for me.

If you lived in the New York Metro area, you would have NO REASON to buy a tuner.
There's nothing left to listen to. Programming here is in the toilet. |
