Hi from the Pacific NorthWET.
Hi All,
A new user and subscriber here. I have been into music for a long time and love listening to music as well as attend concerts whenever I can. I really regret that I did not learn to play any instrument when I was young. Seriously thinking of taking Piano lessons. I built my system over the course of a decade buying and trying out used equipment. After a while, I ended up with a Sony SCD777ES player, Placette linestage, Rowland Model 10 amp, Silverline Sonatina speakers. This system served me well for about 10 years until I got upgraditis disease. I wanted to simplify my system with an integrated and wanted to use a computer as a source. After another round of auditions, I ended up with my current system described below. Rega RP6 turntable Acer Ultrabook for Spotify Devialet D200 amp AudioPhysic Virgo 25 speakers Audience au24 speaker cables Audioquest Cinnamon USB cable I have been happy with this system for the last few years. I still haven’t converted my CD/SACD collection to digital format yet. I am thinking of adding a music server and rip my collection into it. Also, I have started looking into building a new system for a house we are building in a year or so. Hopefully I will learn a lot perusing the forums. Hope to contribute and share my limited knowledge and experience. Cheers, Jay |

I was born in Seattle. Lived there till we moved when I was 12. Our family were some of the originating founders.
Used to have a favorite T shirt “WA state rain festival Jan 1 to Dec 31. Ha. Miss the green and beauty. Tired of brown scrub brush. |

I guess we have to put up with the wet for all the green and beauty. I am used to it now. Thanks all. |

Welcome to the party, Jay, from a fellow Pacific Northwesterner. I think you'll enjoy the climate here on AA.

Thanks all.
I was just going through the systems that members have built just in thus thread. It is impressive. I have a simple system. Rega RP6 turntable Acer Ultrabook for Spotify Devialet D200 AudioPhysic Virgo 25 Audience/Audioquest cables Simple and satisfying for me. Helped me get out of the upgrading cycle for the last 3-5 years or so. I have been dreaming of a new system in the house that we are building. Unfortunately, some of the components that I am interested in are not represented in our area like Revel Salon / Magico speakers, Gryphon amplification etc... How do you deal with such issues? Travel to audition? I really appreciate all the replies. Best Regards, Jay |
Welcome aboard Jay. Looking forward to seeing you around.

Welcome Jay,
Looks like you're going to do some upgrading with a new house coming along and getting into streaming. That's awesome. One warning - this is not an audioholic self help group! I'm guessing your gear list will get fatter and your wallet thinner. Quote:
