Nice, that’s sure to be a nice sounding album....I bet the SHM CD will be as good as the vinyl unless they did some kind of special mastering.

New Melody Gardot - Sunset in the Blue

This album shows up in Qobuz but none of the songs are available. But at least you can see the track list. There are 13 tracks.

The track Sunset in the Blue is playable under that album in Tidal. Nice. :music:

My hope is that is sounds like Currency of Man or My One and Only Thrill and not Absence or Live in Europe.

Women often have the luxury and the distinct advantage of selling records... Judging by the new album cover of Sunset in the Blue, the music should stand on its own...

Unlike Live in Europe which needed a bit of "help from the album art department" :smoking:

That’s why I am waiting until I can hear on Qobuz.

Finally had the chance to sit down and take in the whole album while enjoying a morning cup of coffee and watching nature waking up outside the windows.

Birds enjoying breakfast on the feeders, squirrels chasing each other in morning play, trees displaying leaves in full autumn colors. Crisp and fresh fall air slowly permeates the room from the open window.

The Class A Luxman integrated has been on for at least 20 min warming up and is now ready to strut its stuff and feed the willing speakers with sonically delicious amps, volts and watts.

Melody Gardot's silky voice radiates into the room from the Harbeth speakers whose soul purpose in life is exactly the task I have assigned to them this morning. To serenade and to seduce. Reproducing beautiful and all important midrange with all its glory is what this HiFi combo does best and Melody does not disappoint. I felt the connection with her on this album. Very enjoyable album indeed. :music:

It matters not that Melody and I took courses at the same college at some point in our lives, that she used to perform in my home town Philadelphia night clubs. Our paths never crossed. Melody had a horrific accident in 2003 at the age of 19 in which she sustained serious head injury and was suffering from short and long term memory loss. Music was her rehabilitation and her ticket to recovery as well as being an advocate for music therapy later in life. A remarkable story of human spirit and triumph.

“I believe in sharing your heart with people, no matter how hard it may be” says Gardot.

Some say Melody's voice is "hauntingly beautiful and will melt the coldest of hearts".

I believe Moon River may have melted mine... :smoking:

Moon river, wider than a mile
I'm crossing you in style some day
Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker
Wherever you're goin', I'm goin' your way

Two drifters, off to see the world
There's such a lot of world to see
We're after the same rainbow's end, waiting 'round the bend
My huckleberry friend, moon river, and me

Two drifters, off to see the world
There's such a lot of world to see
We're after the same rainbow's end, waiting 'round the bend
My huckleberry friend, moon river, and me
