Having trouble with Installation - Help!

Just received my order.
8 Ultra 5's and 8 threaded adaptors.

The Sonus Faber Amati Futura's have a double plate bottom. A rubber threaded divider sits between the plates.

It looks like the divider and thread don't separate.
Does this mean I remove the bottom plate and the rubber divider and attach the Ultra 5 to the upper plate screwed into the speaker?

Mark.......No way, Jose'. Do not alter the design parameters of the developers. There must be some other way to permit the Ultra 5's to be used.

We spoke tonight, so this should be resolved by the morning. :)
