Countdown to 12.21.2012

Post your thoughts here as we are approaching the Mayan Prophecy date....

Countdown clock.... http://www.timeanddate.com/counters/...n=&sec=&p0=198

Given that the Mayans missed their own "end of the world" date, I have no concern about this one. It's right up there with Y2K and the other "tinfoil hat" predictions. :D

I'd like to open this discussion with some not so insignificant facts...

1. There are 100-200 Billion Galaxies out there....
2. Each galaxy has hundreds of Billion stars....
3. We have recently discovered a large, rocky, "Earth" like planet that has a nice 72F temp and is capable of sustaining life. This one is only 600 light years away in our own Milky Way Galaxy. This is just one....... There are countless that exist in the "comfort zone" in orbits around their stars...
4. Our planet is 4 Billion years old...
5. Universe is 14 Billion years old so some 10 Billion years older than Earth...
6. We have found bacteria on some meteorites proving once and for all there is life out there...

Where am I going with this? :scratch2:

I think we'll be still here on 1/1/2013 as long as Iran, Israel, N. Korea and the U.S don't start doing this..... :kus:

Or the mutated version of fly parasites don't turn us into Zombies.

Gee, I noticed that date is almost a palindrome! Actually, Dec. 20th would be a palindrome
