New XP-17 Enroute
I'm pretty stoked.. I finally pulled the trigger on a new phono stage itch that I've had and have a new XP-17 heading my way. I'm really looking forward to the next step up from my Audio Alchemy PPA-1. I fear the slippery slope is real and I really hope the difference will be a huge WOW factor..

Congratulations on a great phonostage, and careful on the slippery slope, it is definitely real.

Thank you! The choice was a difficult one with all of the options out there. I'm kind of in uncharted territory here in regards to higher end TT's and phono stages. I'm curious to experiment with the capacitance adjustments with my H/O MI cartridge. Peter Lederman had mentioned that these types of pre's with that adjustability play nicely with his carts, so we'll see.

Congratulations, I love mine. Just leave it turned on all the time. The first 24 hours were a little ragged sounding. Once I found the settings that sounded the best, I've not played around with different options for loading and capacitance. Something to explore further down the road.

Thank you and I appreciate the advice! Thats pretty much what Mark @ Reno HIFI said too.. He started off with "here's the important part nobody wants to hear.." lol
Did you do anything as far as isolation or replacing the feet? |
