Anyone tried Acoustic Revive rr-77?

Curious if others have tried this device and what their experience was.

With my vintage speakers, the Revive made a dramatic difference in soundstage, coherence, and timbre (aka just made the music more convincing & less fatiguing).

Now, with the Sophia 3s, the effect is still there, tho' much more subtle. Heh, I even forget to turn it on some of the time since I'm so in love with the sound from the S3s.

I'm not giving up on the device, it just seems less necessary with the S3s.

...btw, it does work very nicely with 5.1 surround and makes the surround more immersive.

I own four of them in different sound rooms, I like what they do.

I also use them with the optional King Rex power supply.

I have the latest version (RR-777) & King Rex psu, but wouldn't be much help regarding the sound improvements since i've only added that gear in the last couple of weeks, and am yet to fully set it up. But I own and use several other Acoustic Revive tweaks & can say they work nicely. The latest RR-777 is supposed to have a more powerful pulse generator designed specifically for audio applications, so good.

It works very well in my system.

I have been reading a lot on this with the external PS. My order goes in tomorrow. The reviews are stellar.

The Australian Distributor for King Rex (Coem) threw in a custom-sized umbillical cord with a gold Nuetrix xlr plug to connect my RR-777 gratus. Great customer service from those guys!

My RR-777 & King Rex Mk2 psu are up and running. This is phase one of setting up my system!

I found that when I had it on the rack with the gear it made things worse. Now I have it on the other side of the room and I'm not sure if it is doing anything or not. Tomorrow night I need to experiment again with placement. The problem is that other locations require an unsightly extension cord.

Bluefox, Acoustic Revive advise the RR-77/777 should never be in direct contact with other devices & should be placed atleast 1m 50cm off the ground. AR advise if the height is obtained, then the other angles are less important, however you can experiment with finding the best position. I have mine placed on top of a hot water service cupboard above my left speaker which was the only practical place I could locate it (see above photos). My Dealer said the best place for the RR-777 is at the rear of the room between the speakers, so the location of my RR-777 is a good compromise since I have my RR-777 sitting 1.95m above the floor.

Btw, do you have the earlier RR-77, or latest RR-777? The RR-777 is 4 x more powerful than the older rr-77. You can use use the optional King Rex Mk2 psu which improves the effect more; no need to stack multiple RR-77! Also, on my shopping list is the optional custom hickory board for RR-77/777 (see photo below)
