Stumbled across this forum searching google for McIntosh & B&W as I've been looking for a pair of 805s to compare to my KEFs. Love that this place has the manufacturer forums!
Started in this hobby back in college (PSU) in '95 when I got my first system (and first CD) after living with a cassette deck boom box since I was 12. Subscriptions to Audio, Stereophile and Stereo Review quickly followed and here I am 20 years later with four modest setups and a dad of two awesome kids.
I already recognize some of you lot from other forums and look forward to learning from those of you I haven't run into yet!

About three years ago I tackled room acoustics for the first time and regret not doing it sooner - what a difference!

My collection is mostly digital - approximately 1,200 CDs and stored as AIFF files. It's 97% Rock with a heavy emphasis on mid-90s to mid-2000s Britpop.

I got into vinyl 3 years ago and have a vinyl collection of close to 600 LPs. It consists primarily of Jazz, as many mono originals as I can find, the entire Blue Note 75th Anniversary collection, two years of Music Matters 33rpm releases and other random audiophile reissues.

Outside of HiFi I'm a self-professed Subaru nut, craft beer lover, love the Flyers, Eagles and PSU football, enjoy hiking, camping, fishing and mountain biking and anything else the family and I can do together.
