BHK Signature 250 vs Classe CA-2300

I'm thinking of an upgrade to my amp. I'm currently driving my Wilson Sabrina speakers with a Classe Sigma AMP5 (Sigma SSP front end) but want to upgrade to a traditional Class A/B amp. Wonderful as Classe's class D technology is, I feel I'm missing some warmth.

I've been thinking of the Classe CA-2300, and will likely wait to hear the Classe Delta series revamp that rumor has it will be unveiled at CES early next year. I've been reading wonderful things about the PS Audio BHK Signature Stereo 250 amp and hope to audition one as the time for the upgrade draws near.

But I was wondering if anyone has done a direct comparison between the BHK 250 and the CA-2300. My musical listening is primarily jazz (small combos, some big band, and primarily female vocalists), some "fusion", classical and some progressive and classic rock.

Thanks!

I have not. But I am contemplating selling my BHK-250 and downsizing to an integrated amp which I am still researching.

I had the PrimaLuna DiaLogue Premium HP as a power amp vs the Classe Amp5 - using the Sigma SSP as the DAC/preamp driving a pair of DALI Epicon 6.

The Amp5s are pretty amazing for a Class D design - probably one of the best I've heard but there was a sense of realism I got with the PrimaLuna that was addictive.

I didn't manage to do a direct comparison between the Amp5 with the BHK 250s though I had the BHKs against the Devialet Le200 in another system driving a pair of DALI Epicon 8s.

The BHKs may have lost a smidgen of absolute detail retrieval vs the Le200 but I preferred the BHKs to the Devialet in the end - there was a better sense of 3 dimensionality to the soundstage and a fuller sound - particularly in vocals.
