Power amps paired with C1100T
 

what power amps ( Mac or non-mac) are you using with this pre-amp ? Thanks!
So far any issues with synergy ?

I like both the McIntosh MC601's and MC2301's paired with the C1100. I am sure other McIntosh amps will also pair up well. They are made to go together and sound excellent. Also, when using trigger cables, you can have the amps turn on and off just by powering up or down the C1100. When turning off the meter lights on the C1100, it will also turn off the meter lights on the amps.

I’m using MC 2301’s and the pairing is sublime. Best my system has sounded.

will this pre-amp be overkill with the Mc302, MC275 or even the MC452 ? Thank you for the inputs.

No, I’m using it w a MC152

I think for the $ the MC275 or even the MC452 would be a great choice too! What speakers are you driving? Sorry if I missed that :)

I bet the 452 would be great or the newer version too. Plenty of power of course. I ran mine with the C500t rig and run 601s too, both are great matched macs units with the pre, I seem to think that the would apply for you too.

The 452 are too big power for the harbeths.. maybe in the future if i'm running the 40.2 harbeths then that would make sense Or the 611s.

I got a great deal on a mc300 pair and they go great with the c1100. I can actually lift the mc300 and that is a plus for me.
