In my experience, no.

My Ayre MX-R Twenties are one of the best upgrades I ever made.

I'd suggest trying some other Ayre amps, or maybe a Moon.

Has anyone here paired their Vivid speakers with a McIntosh amp? I’m considering a pair of B1s to go with a McIntosh MC462...
