TAS names INT-250 Integrated of the Year 2016

Jan 2017 issue:

"A virtuoso of force and finesse, the muscular INT-250 delivers effortless dynamics and ultra-wide bandwidth on a grand scale. Capable of 250Wpc into 8 ohms and a stump-pulling 500Wpc into 4 ohms, it offers superb low-end control and grip and effortless highs. Optimized for use with gruntworthy speaker-sensitivities of 86dB or less, its soothing and seductive sonics are an ideal companion for analog LP playback—the INT-250 just makes you want to spin vinyl endlessly. Remarkable too is the amp’s lush Falstaffian midrange, which pushes loudspeakers to the very edges of their performance envelope. With musicality that is second to none, it operates at the outer limits of what is currently possible in today’s integrated amplifier marketplace."

Mine is mated with Esoteric K03X and B&W803 D2s and is superb.

Added bonus is the pleasure of dealing with Kent English if/when call PASS with any questions.

Your other amp won Integrated Amplifier of the year also

Ayre Acoustics AX-5 Twenty (HIFI+ Awards 2016)

Yes both are great amps. Love the h/t pass through on the Ayre too. It's a nice feature to have.

Personally, I'd like an integrated to be as simple as possible. INT-250 fits the bill.

Agreed. Some like sound, some like features. No right or wrong, I suppose. Still, I find it curious that some Ayre fan-bois insist on hanging out on the PASS forum. hmmmmm........

Just fun trolling you aardvark just like you troll Ayre. Lol. I'm a fan boy of many amps actually. The only reason I didn't give Pass more consideration was because if the way they do business which is a personal thing. Takes nothing away from the good products they produce.

yet...I own Ayre and speak of my experience with them. You do not own PASS.

lol

So this is only for Pass owners? How to you know that I don't own Pass anymore? I may have some in the basement along with other gear I've collected over the years. I better let the internet police know that I'm breaking rules, lol. Maybe I'm interested in owning Pass...or maybe not.
