I wouldn't allow a lack of MQA get in the way of an Accuphase decision to buy. Accuphase rarely include a 'new' format for sake of of it. Their DACs support WAV, FLAC, DSD, solid codecs that have stood the test of time. A lossy format anyway, MQA, despite the hype, has yet to fully get off the ground, let alone fly. If it doesn't fly, Accuphase will not support it.
I bought a DC-950 some 12 weeks ago, and MQA was last on the list for consideration.
BTW, the HS-Link from the DP-720 to the DC-950 is spectacular.
