Concept cartridge upgrade?

Has anyone moved up in terms of cartridges while using the Clearaudio Concept package?
I am happy with my Concept MC, but have considered trying a Sumiko Blackbird next go around...
Had one before when I was running a VPI Scout and really loved the warm yet detailed sound.
Plus it is a higher output MC so I could lower the gain setting on my Moon 310LP phono stage for even lower noise.

Have you considered about going in a different direction with your phono stage?....IMO it will yield you far better results. Just a thought......

Thank you for the feedback. I'm very happy with the sound and adjustability of the Moon 310LP.
I am a bit limited in my phono pre options, as I have my analog rig in a separate room away from the main system
and require balanced operation to allow for longer XLR runs to my preamp. And I preferred to stay under the $2K mark if possible.
The 310LP was $1900 so it fit the bill perfectly for me.

I should clarify my previous post.
Noise levels are very, very low with my current 310LP while running at 66db of gain in balanced
mode with the concept MC, but realize that S/N ratios specs will only improve if I am able to lower the gain needed.

What impedance settings are fellow Concept MC users running with their phono preamps?

I currently have mine set at 100 ohms.
Though I have had a tough time finding recommendations on this subject...

With the 310LP your next available setting is 470 ohm, which may be too high. The Concept MC has an internal impedance of 11 ohms, and the recommended load is 10 times that, so you are there. You could always try 470 ohm and see how it sounds.
