Brian.......Thanks. That was interesting.

Thanks for the pic's. Very basic facility, but all that's required. Having toured BAT and Cary, they are all quite similar. Good to see that final assembly & testing, at least, has returned to Japan. Wonder where their boards are assembled? Was most interesting to see the pair of 30yr-old Yamaha NS-1000M monitor speakers still being used for final test. A timeless design. Miss my Luxman SQ-N10. Terrific little integrated amp.
Brian - can you visit Accuphase and post pic's from there? ;) |
Interesting pictures, thank you. I love the way they use bubble wrap on the shelving to protect parts. It also highlights for me that many specialist audio companies are fairly small operations.

Surprised
Don't get me wrong - I have been a Luxman fan for 4 decades but this place looks entirely disheveled. I envisioned something of a much grander scale.
The Accuphase facility is significantly more organized and clean. |
Cool!!!
Love the Luxman!! |

I tried as I was in Japan for two weeks back in April, but was not able to get a tour. |

Might be hard to grasp what the condition of the Luxman facility is, as a whole, from those few images. Every once in a while I search for Esoteric or Luxman factory tours because there is little published about their facilities. Thought it was neat to see at least something on the web. Luxman must be doing something right as their products are outstanding. |
