Future BMW EVs Will Move Away from Radical Styling

.

" Speaking to Auto Express, Adrian van Hooydonk, BMW’s head of design, said the German automaker’s future electric cars will probably look a lot like its future gas-powered offerings.

Why? Because very soon, he thinks EVs will be as mainstream as hybrids are today."

Well it's time they abandoned the Tonka toy styling if they are serious about competing for example with Tesla.
For BMW the electric cars are not really bread and butter yet, and I gues the styling reflects their attitude. For the customers however, when they commit to an electric car, it's not 1% of the production volume to "test the waters" - it's a car which will be their daily commute. Tesla got this long ago, but most of the conventional car makers think that electric car must look weird. It's about time to change that.

I like my i3 styling and its uniqueness gives electric attention.

Tesla is too unstable of a company for me, lacks identity and without the name badge most regular people wouldn’t even know what it is.
