Oh now that is YUMMY! I see a pair of L300's in the pic as well. Great stuff!

Looks awesome, how do they sound?

vinod_david 02-27-2017 06:41 AM

Wow, huge room for those huge speakers.

I powered mine with larger amp for the low end, later I made both amps the same which resulted in big improvement.
The 250 Hz crossover point between low and high ends makes the power demand fairly close at both ends.

That's a fantastic looking setup!
Newbie question how do you find the 4350 when sat on the floor is the sound good only when you are sat down or do they project "up" nicely as well. I have a pair of zingali 8850's incoming and wondering whether I need some plinths for them. I know they are not the same speaker but share a lot of similarities with the 4350.

Nickyrboy.......Welcome to Audio Aficionado.

In the photo below it appears the original JBL Zingali 8850 speakers had a riser installed under the woofer cabinet. This tells me the designers felt the low frequency drivers sounded better with some elevation and that the midrange and high frequency section was positioned to be on axis with a typical seating position.

Hi jdandy
Thanks for the warm welcome and response. The zingali's I have coming are the domestic version I believe so slightly different layout, hopefully the above pic has linked. Do you think I will still need a plinth? Any suggestions about possible height?
Thanks

Nickyrboy.......It looks as though your Zingali's have the factory risers installed under the cabinets. I would set them up as they are and see if they develop the sound stage you are hoping for. Spend some time evaluating their sound as you position them until you are satisfied they sound the best. At that time you might then begin placing something like small 2"x 4" blocks under the four corners to raise the cabinets approximately 1.5" at a time to see what you think. You might even just try raising the front of the cabinets by that amount and listen for any improvements. I suspect you may discover the Zingali's sound excellent as they were constructed in their default position. Keep us posted on what you discover.
