Wireworld Series 8 now on WW website

Wireworld updated their website with some descriptions, pictures, and specs of their new Series 8 cables.

I've been waiting to see what changed in their construction although auditioning them will be the best way to evaluate versus my Series 7 cables.

Ivan, can you contact WW for a bit of clarification on the WW Platinum Eclipse Interconnects?

The general description of the new Series 8 interconnects describes larger gauges, which most appear to have according to the specs.

One exception is the Platinum Eclipse interconnect but the picture indicates a new construction with an additional group of conductors (20 versus 16 in Series 7).

The Platinum Series 8 Speaker Cables show similar additional groups of conductors but DOES indicate an increase in gauge from Series 7 so I'm wondering if the specs for the interconnect are accurate.

David Salz has been working on a comprehensive comparison to make this easier for everyone. The Platinum Eclipse interconnect did NOT change gauge; just the design and insulation have been improved. Many of the other interconnects did increase in gauge, so that verbiage is also correct.

Thanks for confirming the specs, Ivan.
