Manley EL-84 based amp owners at AA?

4 Attachment(s)
I was wondering if there are other Manley EL-84 power tube based amp owners here at AA?

This would include Manley Stingray I & II, Stingray iTube, Mahi Monoblocks, and older out of production amps such as the Manley Tiny Triodes, and 35 Watt and 50 Watt Monoblocks.

The realistic sound production of these small Manley EL-84 amps is truly something special to listen to!

"Excellent speed and detail like good solid-state amps, but they also have the natural body and richness of tube amps. Even the bass is excellent, with the right speakers," says Arthur Salvatore. I would add--realistic timbres, superior rhythm presentation, soundstage layering with excellent height and width--an involving listening experience that makes listening to music fun!

Yep. I agree. Really wanted to enjoy my pair of Mahi monoblocks. I'm still breaking in the preamp and then will start some tube-rolling. Have some Soviet era 6P14P tubes and GL 6922 tubes to roll in. Unfortunately, my speakers are begging for some considerably larger solid-state power. So, as much as I wanted the Mahi(s) to work, they are simply too small. :tears:

I love my Mahis, actually more than my far more expensive Zesto Bia 200 Select stereo amp. Of course, speaker matching is critical for the Mahis while the Zesto will drive anything. Good tubes for the Mahis are readily available while the KT150 output tubes for the Zesto have gotten very expensive due to the war.

But then, the EL84 has always been my favorite push-pull output tube. I also have an EL84 based Kingko Audio KA-101 Pro that I'll never sell.
