Audi 2019 RS3 on order January 5th 2019 ...

Hello,

I have actually now as of yesterday (Saturday 1-5-2019) placed my order for the 2019 RS3.
I did this with Audi Nashville part of the Sonic Group.
I have been waiting on the G/M (General Manager) to give me a confirmed call on my trade-in and he did that yesterday (Saturday).
I said yes and he (Robert Hartman) and one of his salesman (Trey Lee) drove over to my house and picked up my trade and also we (Officially) signed the Buyers-order.
I have previously owned several of the S4s which I loved years ago.
And some other older Audi cars many-many years ago I'm an older fellow.
From my understanding they (Audi) might be actually starting or already started production this month.
Given that's the correct information I was told my RS3 will be here between 90-120 days (March-April) once the order is placed this coming week.
In my case even though this might come across some as strange that time frame I don't really mind as it will give us time to further set aside more Cash for the purchase.

I have looked into the TTRS like 1 1/2 years ago but being an old "Muscle-Car-Guy" I decided to get my last Muscle-Car and it was a Challenger Hellcat.
Lots and lots of fun and I had it for 1-year and drove it a total of 2,148 miles so it was not worn-out that's for sure. LOL !!!
This time around since my wife (Cathy) has a new VW Golf R which she loves and of course I have put a lot of the miles on it as well.
I decided to step away from a Coupe as I want what I refer to as a User-Friendly, easy to see out of Sedan.
The RS3 is FAST, Nimble, Quattro, with all the Modern amenities so this time around I decided it was really the ONLY-Choice !!!

Below are pictures for those interested.

The Golf R is going to have what I would call, A-Big-Brother.

Congrats on the new ride. Quite a change from the Hellcat. :D
That’s why I always lease cars. Too many toys out there, the lease is not a permanent relationship and buying and selling with 2k on the odometer is a big dent to the wallet to say the least. In fact I think the new “subscription” model some manufacturers like Volvo and MB are offering will be a huge hit. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cne...uying-leasing/

In any case, good luck with the RS3! It will be a fun ride.

Terry.......Congratulations on the 2019 Audi RS3. This vehicle will pamper you unlike the Hellcat. Here's to many happy, comfortable miles of driving pleasure.

What? I have to ask - Why the quick sale of the Hellcat?

Weirdcuba 01-06-2019 11:50 PM

Congrats, but the hellcat probably still smells new. Entirely different cars ...???

I have also leased cars in the past.
Last one was a Bright Yellow Corvette.

Yes, HUGE hit on the Hellcat buddy !!!

You asked and I don't mind answering with why it's gone.
(1) My age has a lot to do with it and where I live and drive

(2) It's a BIG car
(3) Major pain in heavy, bumper to bumper traffic and that's the way it is where I live
(4) Had to always back it in so when leaving I could see how to pull back out
(5) The Challenger Hellcat has one Major thing that I could not get use to, HUGE-BLIND-AREAS that you could easily hide a full-size Crew-cab pickup truck in
(6) It has the POWER but telling it like it really is you couldn't really use it without losing your license
(7) Lastly, the Hellcat always made me extremely nervous with it's size and I think age plays a role in the things I have mentioned

Yes, the Hellcat had just over 2K miles on it and it was as clean underneath as it was on the upper-side.
Totally Detailed and had CQuartz Ceramic Pro multiple coats Professionally installed by a Certified Dealer.

Someone is going to get a heck of an Awesome Muscle-Car no doubt.

Terry

Below guys is a picture of the (Actual) RS3 in Tango Red Metallic from my build on the Audi USA Site.

The Audi RS3 in red looks great. Congratulations

crwilli 01-07-2019 01:36 PM

Thank you for your honesty. The new Audi looks great Terry! I hope you enjoy it for many (s)miles

Terry, shedding nearly 1000 lbs, gaining the sure-footed and legendary Audi Quattro all wheel drive system for all road and weather conditions, as well as having the unique 5 cylinder sound in a car that will be much more nimble and quite a back road point and shoot missile, are all very positive trade offs going from the muscle car to a well designed, sporty daily driver.

Even acceleration wise, the RS3 will get you there just as fast as the Hellcat since we all know AWD rules in everyday driving and "stop light challenges". With 3.9sec 0-60, the Audi will do it all day long vs the Hellcat that requires optimal conditions to hook up and produce those numbers. :D

394/354 hp/torque with a 7speed dual clutch tranny. Sounds like a perfect street combo in my book. I really enjoyed my Audi S4 and it had less...

All in all the RS3 makes much more sense all things considered.

No-Worries I don't at all sharing the real FACTS to other adults.

The RS3 will be with me for a great many years for sure I love the Quattro and the Sedan that is truly usable.

Serge,

You gave stated things as I also see and think about the RS3.
The Hellcat I wanted as my last Muscle-Car but honestly it just does not fit with my overall needs.
The RS3 is going to be KILLER buddy. :D

Terry
