I’ll thrown in a crude analogy here. Vinyl and R2R is like the manual gearbox, a compact disk is like the automated manuals and today’s streaming is like the dual clutch and CVT. :D
Clearly the manual is old school, love it or hate it. It’s an effort, much like getting up out of the chair to switch the sides of the 45rpm favorite album or switching the reels. Some would have it no other way. Some can’t be bothered.
Would I want to drive a manual in traffic daily? No! For that I have an automatic. Would I want to drive a manual on the track if I wanted to be competitive? No! For that the PDK shines. Would I want to drive anything other than a manual on my leisure drives out to the country and back roads? No!
