Could you tell me the name and model number of a really good top level cassette deck.

I have recently unearthed from my closet some tapes that I would like to play on a top machine. Can you suggest one or two? Thanks.

Scott.......I loved my Nakamichi CR-7A. It is an exceptional cassette deck. They are hard to find because folks hang on to them.

Scott....If you're really serious about getting a top-flight machine to listen to..or possible do your own recordings...then my suggestion is get one of the high-end Nakamichi's like the ZX-7,
CR-7a, Dragon...or even a somewhat newer model, the DR-1, and send it off to be re-fubished and repaired by a specialist who will bring it back to life.
There are several very good techs that can be recommended. There are probably others but try willyhermanservices.com or ElectronicServiceLabs.com

Guarantee you will be surprised by the high quality of the audio.

X4 on the Nak units. Exceptional build quality, excellent sonic performance, are still available out there. Will probably need to be refurbished unless the seller has recently done so.
