I like the water level adjust, that is a nice feature. I love the KLAudio I have, but as a 78 collector not having a water reservoir that I can wipe down is a no-go for me. Sometimes after cleaning less than 20 old 78s with 60+ years of caked on smoke and who knows what else the water reservoir looks like dirty pond water and I need to wipe it down to remove the sediment. However, for people who aren't cleaning filthy records the new model will probably do quite well. Great service from these guys as well when the water pump died on mine, can't say enough great things about the product and company.

KD-CLN-LP200S is a compact version of Klaudio's ultrasonic cleaner without an internal reservoir. It requires an external source of water for the cleaning process as described below.

There are two water supply options for model KD-CLN-LP200S:
  1. An inexpensive 5-gallon / 19-liter bucket or larger container with lid (not included) can be used as the reservoir. The container should be filled with distilled water. The cleaner's pump and tubing are dropped into the container, which can be stored on the floor beneath the machine.
  2. This model supports a direct plumbing connection with Klaudio's tap water kit (sold separately, coming soon). The kit supplies filtered tap water for each washing cycle and empties it into a nearby drain between cleanings.

This would be the better option for my basement listening area. Placing a separate water reservoir (2-3gal pail with handle) under the cleaning table would be a convenient option.
