Fair market price for ARC 5SE?
 

Looking at ARC REF 5SE listed at $6450
With org.box,remote manual.
1400 hrs no listed issues.
Seems okay price but wanted to see what AA
Members think.Rather buy here but

If you're willing to pay a small fee, you can get a price history of what the 5SE (and any other unit) has sold for on Audiogon. You didn't say what the claimed condition of the unit listed was.

8/10 condition.

Agon Bluebook says $6,240.

I think the price is high. Seems to me $5500-$6000 is what they are worth depending on condition.

I thought so also but it depends how long I want to wait. Of course prices will be under pressure to come down now that the release of the Ref 6SE has arrived.

I rather have a Ref 6 and if I wait more than 2 months I'm sure I will head in that direction.

I sold mine for $4000 . I was in a hurry to sell mine .

I bought my 9/10 Ref 5 SE for $6500 from an ARC dealer last summer. Very happy with its performance.
