Just read an article that states the mid-engine chassis can't handle the biggest of the V8s (700hp) that GM is planning to stuff in it. Back to the drawing board (computer) for that one. Plus, am not a big fan of the rear-end treatment on the car shown. But, that could be problematic with the camo paint scheme.

The highest end model is supposed to have 1000+ HP. Here is the actual quote from the article you referenced: "The third issue, however, might be the most interesting. Supposedly, the mid-engine Corvette's chassis can't handle the power of its near-1,000-hp twin-turbo V-8. Hagerty says its source claims the twist from the engine in at least one prototype bent the spaceframe enough to break the glass in the rear hatch."

Time to upgrade from Fiberglass to Titanium. :D

They will figure out the frame issue.

It just means the car will be more expensive. ;)

They will probably (hopefully) just use a brace bar similar to what Lamborghini uses.. Easy fix!

In the mean time there is a 230 day surplus of unsold C7 Corvettes (over 9000) sitting on dealers lots. February 2019 was the worst sales month in the history of all 7 generations of the Corvette.

Yep, already up to $10,000 discounts at Kerbeck’s

Which will crush the resale value of used C7. Trading in a C7 for a C8 will be extremely painful. Better bring Vaseline and be prepared... :smoking:

My ‘17 GS is not going to be for sale for awhile.
