New Shindo Auriges preamp in the house
I must have been doing something right lately because the gods of audio are smiling upon yours truly.
I had scheduled a visit to that Shrine of Japanese exotica that is Pitch Perfect Sound in San Francisco to audition the Shindo Auriges preamp (to keep my Montille company.) I was prepared to fall in love ... and then wait a few weeks (4-6) to get my hands on one. But, as luck would have it, Matt (Pitch Perfect's owner) had just gotten a trade-in unit. Within the span of 3 weeks I managed to get my hands on, not one, but two Shindos. I am a lucky guy. http://pitchperfectaudio.files.wordp...pg?w=497&h=424 MDA1000->Shindo Auriges->Shindo Montille->Tannoy Sandringham = DELICIOUSNESS in spades. I'll take some pictures after I clean-up and reorganize my rack - which may take some time since I don't want to unplug the darn thing. Proper review to follow. Deliciously yours, Alberto PS The visit to Pitch Perfect Audio in San Francisco deserves a post of its own - which I plan to do. |
Congrats!! This must be fate. :D

Great news. Seeing we are neighbors, I would love to do some compare/contrasting the Japanese with (not against:thumbsup:) the Germans. We can also throw in the Americans.:D
