Jerome's Systems

Main :

I use 2 different systems in parallel.

Speakers are Wilson WP8 in Topaz.
Serious listening : Shindo Giscours and Corton Charlemagne Q monoblocks with digital or LP.
Ambiance / Sports / HT : Manley 300 B Neo Classic and Snappers monoblocks, with digital only.

Analog source are the REGA P9 with DL103 Expert Stylus Company cart and A23 SUT and the McIntosh MR77 tuner.
Digital transports are either Squeeze Box Touch or Musical Fidelity V Link 192 with Mac Book Pro. Dac is my beloved McIntosh MDA1000 connected to both the Giscours and the 300B preamps.
Speaker cables and ICs are WireWorld Silver Eclipse 6.
Isolation : Giscours is on a Pro Audio Bono Basic AVP. Same ordered for the CCQ.
P9 is on a Gingko platform and a maple board, on Atacama rack.

Only possible change in the main system in the future : replace the P9 by the P10 when it will be available. And maybe an Hommage A23 SUT for the 103 when I will get bored ! :D
But I wood also love to compare the MDA1000 to the MPD3 dac of Playback Designs....

Thanks David.
Next will surely be a Mc MA5100 integrated to replace the Shindo Apetite integrated.
The little Shindo is very very clear sounding and transparent so with some recordings the matching with the Heresy is not perfect. The old Mcs are much warmer and are needed for the Klipschs to really shine....

Thanks a lot Jeff.
Well they would sound great. The Manleys are very close to McIntosh. They are clearly on the warm side.

Jérôme.......Looking at the photos of your main system upstairs, I am reminded of the drawings I provided you for the location and quantity of acoustic panels. Although you selected pillows rather than panels, I am impressed to see how close to my original drawings you placed your acoustic treatment in the room.

Jerome, do you find the sound improved with the kitty as a damping plate on your 1.2kw? :D

That was my 2301.
Well, Bob uses some special stones on his but my guess is that Geminox is better.
Cats suck all the bad waves and bad energy of the home.

Jeff,
We look to a movie once every 2 months. So I don't really need a center channel. But the PMC CB6i is very good.
If you need one I can have it at an incredible price.
