Congrats. I really like the wilson cabinets. They always sound great at Axpona also.

I pulled the trigger on the 'SE' upgrade this spring and got them playing about a month ago. WOW, I'm impressed. I can't imagine how long and how much money i'd spend getting this synergy had I tried to build a system around any of the speakers I bought and sold on my path to here. I guess that's what finally convinced me to go this route, I needed to be done and I wanted to love the sound. bingo
I already had a roon nucleus and an ipad app has me streaming full mqa thru the speakers so I had no investment in sooloos.

Congrats on your new system.

Grats, the SE upgrade is worth it, apart from the sublime soundquality with upgraded electronics and beryllium tweeter, you get 5 years more warranty as well. Especially on older speakers, I mean was the first DSP8000 from 2001? You can upgrade that to SE and get 5 years more warranty. All electronics are brand new then.

I've had the SE's for some years now and they are truly excellent. I put Roon on my NAS Synology DS3617xs (16GB RAM, quadcore Xeon) and added a 210 to my 861v8. So beautiful to listen to hardware decoded MQA in Trifield.

I also added a Shunyata Sigma Digital powercable and Shunyata Venom V14 IEC->C5 adaptercable to the 210, the difference was startling.

You're not the first to mention the Shunyata Sigma Digital powercable and Shunyata Venom to make an audible improvement with the dsp8000's. I want to go on other sites and start telling everyone what a great deal these are at used prices, but where to start?
